I have been having a lot of fun recently with a new ice dyeing method. It works really well with my tencel lyocell fabric. The perfect fabric for summer tees and tanks! I came across this pattern company, Paradise Patterns and saw that they offered a free tank pattern if I signed up for their email newsletter. Sounds good to me! Summer is coming!
I really wanted to do some fun, bright colour combos for summertime vibes. Sunflowers kept popping up in my mind so green and yellow is what I went for. I got the ice out and did some experimenting.
The results were great and I knew I could turn this into an awesome tank top.
The Blomma tank is an easy sew. It is a great make if you are a beginner and even better if you are experienced because you can easily make a few in an afternoon if need be.
I like contrasting my makes with solid colours so the special ice-dyed fabric can last longer (I usually make 2 pieces out of 1 panel) and it tones down the explosions of colour a little :)
